Power point installation in Canberra

Extra outlets where you actually need them beat a house full of double adaptors and extension leads. We add and relocate power points, replace tired switches, and install outdoor and weatherproof outlets.

Common reasons people call

  • Not enough outlets — double adaptors and powerboards everywhere
  • Old cream or cracked power points and switches
  • Nowhere to plug in outside, in the garage or shed
  • Want USB charging built into the wall

What the job covers

  • New single and double power points, indoors and outdoors
  • USB and USB-C combination outlets
  • Relocating outlets during furniture or kitchen changes
  • Replacing cracked, loose or discoloured switches and outlets
  • Weatherproof outdoor outlets for sheds, patios and gardens
  • Dedicated circuits for heavy appliances

What affects the price

Every job is quoted on what's actually involved. The main things that change it:

  • Replacing an existing outlet versus running a new cable
  • Wall type (plasterboard, brick, tiled splashback) and roof-space access
  • The style of outlet you choose
  • How many you have done in the one visit

What to expect

  1. 1You call or send a quote request with a short description and, ideally, a photo.
  2. 2Mick tells you what's likely involved and whether it needs a look on site first.
  3. 3We book a time, the work is done and tested, and you're shown what was done.

Questions about this job

Can you add a power point to a brick wall?
Usually yes. It takes longer than plasterboard because the cable has to be chased in or run in conduit — Mick will talk through the options.
Is it worth doing several at once?
Generally, yes. Most of the time on a small job is getting set up and getting into the roof space, so grouping work makes sense.
